SO, WHAT IS SMp?
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is the perfect solution to thinning hair. It is a highly advanced method of cosmetic pigmentation, which creates the appearance of hair follicles on the male or female scalp. This can be to give either the appearance of shaved or short hairs, or to add density to thinning hair. It is achieved by strategically placing colour pigments into the skin to replicate the follicle base on the scalp.

RECEEDING
SMP is perfect for male and female pattern baldness, scarring and alopecia.
Scalp Micropigmentation is a great alternative to hair transplants and other less effective methods that combat hair loss. Scalp Micropigmentation is a non-surgical procedure that tattoos the areas of the scalp currently affected by hair loss, whether that is due to natural causes, alopecia, or even scarring. Following around three treatments, the creation of a full head of hair can be recreated, enhancing confidence in your appearance.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Medical hair tattooing also referred to as Scalp Micropigmentation (or SMP for short), is a remarkable non-surgical procedure. Natural pigments are applied at the epidermal level of the skin via specialist micro needles. SMP can give the appearance of a shaved cut or add density to thinning hair.
Different shades of pigment are used to create the most realistic hairline for you. At Headlines we only use organic, naturally formulated pigments. All of our pigments have been fully tested and comply with COE ResAP (2008) 1 standards.
Hair tattooing is suitable for all types of hair loss, on all skin colours and types. The treatment can be undertaken at any age. SMP is normally completed over the duration of 3 sessions, each lasting on average 3 – 4 hours.
